Ivan Rossman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology from the University of British Columbia and has also completed an extensive Environmental Engineering program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. As a registered Biologist In Training, Ivan is working towards becoming a Registered Professional Biologist.

Ivan has worked in the environmental sector for four years and has experience conducting bird and wildlife surveys, habitat mapping, effectiveness monitoring, and small mammal trapping. He has assisted in completing baseline studies for environmental assessments as well as the wildlife components of ecological risk assessments.

Since 2009, Ivan has been extensively involved in the Meadowbank Gold Mine project, and the Areva and Cameco Uranium projects. For these projects he has monitored caribou and other wildlife within the vicinity of active drilling; conducted caribou herd classification counts during the post-calving aggregations; and conducted nesting surveys for raptors, waterfowl and other breeding birds.

In his role as a crew leader he has assisted with the planning and coordinating of daily logistics while working closely with local Inuit staff. In addition to his management and general field skills, Ivan is experienced at conducting watercourse assessments and implementing sediments and erosion control plans.
